Client FAQ

Is Drivers on Demand a member of the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC)?
Yes, which means we follow the REC recommended codes of practice for our supply of drivers.

What does Drivers on Demand know about my industry and my problems?
We have been established for over 25 years and in that time we have learnt a great deal about the types of difficulties you may experience. As a specialist driver employment agency, we are confident we have the answers.

What can Drivers on Demand do for me?
Our tailor made database allows us to list your company’s situation, vehicles, procedures and facilities so we can match our drivers to your requirements and brief them in advance of the job. And if you have difficult routes we will supply a driver, free of charge, to learn the ropes before starting.

Who will help me?
Our consultants are accredited and qualified in recruitment practice through REC. Our aim is to be your dependable friend in recruitment.

What about your quality standards?
We have held our Investor in People award since 1997and the training and development of our drivers is important to us. We are ISO9001:2 accredited. Naturally we establish work history and take up references and we check licences regularly – we will not take on drivers with drink driving or dangerous driving convictions.

All our LGV/PCV drivers are tested on drivers’ hours and tachograph regulations, and training is available. We can also check test practical skills and driving standards through our associate company Wallace School of Transport, which is Road Transport Industry Training Board approved.

What about employment regulations?
Leave everything to us. We take care of National Insurance, tax, holiday, sick pay commitments and pensions auto-enrolment, leaving you with the added peace of mind of fixed costs.
